Premise
Hello folks! Now that N64Mania is winding down, I know you might have had some concerns about what would happen to me. Old Jennifer had a good run, right? Feathered friend gone far, but fizzled out? No sir, not JenniferHawk.
The thing is, I've got this new role. I've somehow become the bird behind Spocktober 2025. But not the decision maker. No, I'm sigh just a bird charged with implementing all of this. What is "all of this"? Let me break it down.
Spocktober 2025 is supposed to be a big celebratory meal. A soup. That's it; a soup! But there is only one problem: I'M A BIRD. And they put me in charge! All they left me was this empty cauldron.
Filling the Pot
To fill the pot, I need your help. The Spocktober 2025 harvest cannot take place without a substantial soup. The soup requires substance to provide sustenance!
You can bring substance to the soup in one of one ways: create a 64 x 64 canvas, and draw a food. Submit the food to me, JenniferHawk, curator of N64 games, judge of character and eggs, on the homepage: Spocktober 2025 Submission Form.
I suggest you conjure your ingredients using this very lightweight Slate app. It's what I used to create this year's logo. You can get a version for Linux, Mac, or Windows here: Slate Pixel Art App. To make your ingredient, go to File → New → Select "New Layered Image", make it 64 x 64, and do your thing. You can pick out colors in the top right of the application. When you are done, export your file as png and upload it. The form link is above, and below.
Reaping the Benefits
"When do I get to eat the soup?!" You ask. The soup is for everyone, but that's fair. Here's how it works:
Creating a vegetable, meat, shoe, or whatever food you're able to bring to the party, is only half the work. We have to put all that stuff into the soup!
When you complete a Spocktober task, you will contribute to the story of Spocktober 2025. That story unfolds in a Discord channel here: Spocktober Discord. Also, there is a Discord now. Look at this one. We can't do this here! There is no room. If I'm in charge, this thing is getting its own Discord. Jennifer accepts nothing but the best for herself and her kettle. Did you know a group of hawks is called a kettle?
It does not matter which order ingredients are added to the soup. Soup do not maintain ordinality. All will coalesce within the soup. You will add someone else's food, and someone else will add your food. It's all about working together to make a Beautiful Soup.

Please help me make this soup, I'm begging you. I'm in over my head here.
Rules of the Soup
- Duplicate ingredients may be submitted to the soup. This is expected, as you will not know what others have brought to the soup.
- The soup will be finished cooking probably sometime around the end of the PowerPoint Party, I bet. Based on past soups, you know.
- You do not have to use Slate to make your 64 x 64 ingredient.
